Moderate Extremist (aka my husband Jeff) is learning the guitar. I used the opportunity to get out of my comfort zone a bit. Moving from classical vocals to Rock was really difficult but it was pretty fun and I learned that no matter the genre, rhythm is hard. Anyway, I hope you enjoy and check out Jeff's Channel where he posts a variety of stuff!
A vocal arrangement for Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake. A little diddy that's been a loving work in progress for the past few months off an on. This is the first experiment with music arrangement and production (yay fake instruments!) Learned so much from this and hope to do more stuff in the future :)
Ballet: Swan Lake
Composer: Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky
Lyrics, Arrangement: The Moderate Extremist (@ModerExtremist, https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCEBq...)
Vocals: Saiyaka (@Saiyaka)
Night brings another grand reprieve,
but is it truly my desire?
I feel the lure of hope and joy and happiness,
they seek to quench that burning fire.
If swans are all that we are by day,
should we really play every night away?
I can't go on just flying aimlessly,
waiting for my chance at humanity.
There's no guarantee!
We can't be fooled by the Odiles seeking for the means
to replace our dreams and passions.
All that's left when Von Rothbart wins, is a solace in
the most permanent state, free from all fate
no one feels well, locked in a spell
Curses surround an unmake us,
but we only choose if they break us.
So lift up your head and you'll rise.
Shed all those feathers of lies. Rise!
Stride past the keepers and their hate,
they cannot take you
will not shake you
Find hope and joy and happiness.
The night, no longer can it ever quench your fire
